Kevin A. Hernandez Garcia

Full-Stack Developer & Student

I'm a full-time undergraduate student in Texas A&M San Antonio pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science. I currently work as a Student Worker in the Web Team at the University. My job is mostly dedicated to developing components or setting up page builders for sites using Velocity formats in Cascade CMS. I handle accessibility issues using SiteImprove and use Jira to handle tickets submitted by the Staff and Faculty. If I am not doing edits to the website, I am working with my team on updates in HB2504, an app for faculty to upload their syllabus and CVs which is handled with PHP and MySql.

When I'm not coding, I am either cycling/working out, reading, gaming, or building Gunpla; I am very disciplined when it comes to my hobbies which have naturally moved into my educational/professional life. I have a mindset for learning multiple things, how to break down a problem, and asking questions regardless of their simplicity with the goal to get a better understanding of a project, task, or problem.
